How is a mould for vacuum forming produced?

In order for the final product to have the desired appearance, a mould has to be produced whose dimensions and appearance the plastic will take.

Vacuum forming mould making therefore involves a number of steps:

- First, the material for the mould is selected. It can be made of MDF, resin, multi-layer plywood or fibreglass.

- The customer provides drawings with the required product parameters, which are fed into the base of the CNC machine. The cutting material is mounted on it,

from which the required shape is produced according to set parameters.

Since the CNC machine is used for production, no further machining is needed. It can be used immediately.

The advantage of this type of moulding is that large quantities of the same plastic parts can be made quickly and in a short period of time.

The customer can order different items and this will not be expensive, as it is easy to reprogram the CNC machine.
